Preventive Maintenance

Maintenance based on actual utilization helps to save costs

Unexpected downtimes in rail transport can have serious and cost-intensive consequences. This means that near 100% availability of marshalling yards is the highest objective. Regular maintenance significantly increases the readiness of marshalling yards and their sub-systems.

Given this fact, maintenance needs to be planned for without having a negative impact on rail traffic. Maintenance scheduling by time is often sufficient, but does not take into account actual wear condition. Maintenance scheduling based on measured technical events – such as actual operating times, switching operations, production capacity, etc. - can significantly optimize maintenance, since only the work that is technically needed is carried out.

Here we offer maintenance systems which are connected online to the control systems and thus contain the information neessary for automatically generating the maintenance jobs.

One component of our system solutions for marshalling yards is an open maintenance system which can be configured for the respective technical system. Get in touch with us; we will be glad to provide you with more information.
