Service and maintenance system

Preventive maintenance helps safe costs

tool boxRegular maintenance ensures high machine performance and counteracts unexpected downtimes.

The maintenance system integrated into the VLC line control is connected online with the process stations and machines. This enables wear to be determined by counting and measuring switching operations, run times and other events, which are used to trigger the necessary maintenance jobs.

The maintenance system: a stand-alone solution or system component

The maintenance system is available as a module for the VLC host computer, but can also be used as a stand-alone solution.

Basic functions of the maintenance system

  • User configuration of maintenance jobs for machines/process stations and individual sub-assemblies (handling systems, transport systems, valves, …)
  • User configuration of the messaging level for pending maintenance and priorities
  • Breakdown of the maintenance jobs by time schedules, switching operations, degree of wear, operating hours, …)
  • Storing of the maintenance costs keyed according to personnel, material and tools
  • Indication of the maintenance history with coding of the individual and total costs

The maintenance system can be coupled to the existing machines through various interfaces. For this the VAC NT/32  basic automation tool with its various process connection objects is available.
