µTFM MDA

Machine data acquisition made easy

µTFMDetermining the reliability and error frequency of equipment is gaining increasing significance in today’s modern production. Through use of µTFM machines states and errors can be documented and analysed. Weak points in production can be quickly and accurately detected and eliminated. This increases production and ensures long-term efficiency without having to invest in new machinery.
Factories can use µTFM to monitor numerous machines (5 to 20) online, thus gaining an efficient overview of the production equipment. For larger numbers of machines the powerful TFM is available.
For equipment suppliers µTFM is a cost-effective add-on for demonstrating the availability of the equipment to their customers.
µTFM machnine data acquisition
Comprehensive monitoring and evaluation:
  • Summary of all defined machine states
  • Duration of machine errors on individual and multiple machines in freely definable time ranges
  • Machine state trend in freely definable time ranges and shift-specific for individual and multiple machines
  • Machine errors by frequency of occurrence and duration
  • Product throughput and processing results (OK/NOK)
  • Tabular representations of all evaluations
  • Printable production logs in freely definable time ranges
  • Definition of shift systems

Benefits for both sides

Benefits to the equipment operator:
  • Efficiency logging of the entire production system and individual machines
  • Comparability of different machines with respect to reliability, availability and maintainability
  • Determining the optimisation potential of existing machinery by analysing the error statistics and machine availabilities
  • Help in deciding whether to invest in more efficient machines
  • Monitoring the production conditions and preventing quality variations

Benefits to the equipment supplier:
  • Optimisation of the efficiency of the ordered machines
  • Sales support with online representation of the actual performance indicators of the machines
  • Faster acceptance at the end customer through proved availability and reliability
  • Permanent documentation of the machine states and machine errors, optimisation of the maintenance work
  • Information for constant optimisation of the end customer’s production

µTFM is available in two versions – the pre-configured standard solution and the customised solution.
WinCCIn addition to the freely configurable version of the µTFM, which allows individual design of the range of functions, process linking and visualisation, the µTFM is offered as a pre-configured system.
This pre-configured system can be linked to an existing control system using an OPC interface without any additional development work and is available as an add-on for the WinCC platform of Siemens AG.
