Remote Diagnostics and Administration Toole-diagnostics: Factory-wide diagnostics and remote control RDAT represents a software solution that helps systems experts and administrators to conveniently diagnose and administer the automation systems and applications. The strength of RDAT is the use in a production environment which is characterised by decentralisation and distribution of the automation systems which are relevant to production and which need to be monitored. But RDAT is not simply a diagnostics tool, but rather also responds automatically to a variety of exception situations, thus allowing continuous production flow in highly automated production environments. The monitored systems are checked for their memory requirement, their CPU utilisation and other characteristics and appropriate responses are generated. This approach allows downtimes to be minimized. In addition to plant-internal access to systems and machines, RDAT also allows the manufacturers of the machines and systems controlled remote access. This enables maintenance and remote support from the manufacturer’s location. RDAT comes with the following functions:
System structure RDAT is based on a client-server architecture. Target Adapters (TA, software modules) are available for obtaining the information from the monitored systems and applications, thus ensuring the information flow to the server. Operation, monitoring and evaluation are handled by special RDAD clients. ![]() Your benefits at a glance:
