Inline Equipment

Controlling linear or parallel interlinked process stations
 
machineInline systems are so named due to the physical arrangement of multiple process modules in a line.
 
Inline equipment is used chiefly in vacuum technology for coating glass, films and bands (plastic and metal), coating optical components, solar cells and in many other product areas. Both continuous and discontinuous substrate flow can be used.
 
More complex and demanding is the control of this equipment when it consists of multiple, independently loaded sub-systems or equipment that can be loaded with substrates from 2 sides. Great demands on the drive technology for transporting the substrates are also often made.
