Graphical Programming

All functions of applications can be designed in a single, easy-to-use graphical development environment. The design of the solution takes place on graphical way using prebuilt objects that will be instantiated by drag and drop and configured via property-pages. The structure of the application will be realized by using interconnections between inputs and outputs of the configured objects.

By default VAC includes a variety of objects to control, to parameterize and to visualize which let the user solve its automation tasks fast, affordable and effective. In addition VAC provides open programming interfaces for scripts, C++ and .NET programming languages. This helps you to enlarge the VAC standard object pool with customized special functionalities.  The development of its own VAC objects is possible too.

Many already-implemented standard functions like user management, integrated message system, and the unicode-based dictionary functionality reduce the development time.
 

Flexibility is one of the strengths of VAC

Additionally to the different ways to communicate with a database via ADO, ODBC or other, VAC offers a variety of process interfaces like RS232, Ethernet, Profibus, Simatic S7, TwinCAT I/O or CAN bus as well as an OPC client and server functionality. So VAC offers flexible options for the solution of a wide variety of automation tasks.

The consistent object-oriented, event-driven approach of the system allows the development of powerful and reliable automation solutions beginning with a simple process visualization and PC-based equipment controls up to complex, factory-wide distributed control and surveillance systems within a very short time. If very short response times are required, special objects to run in kernel mode of Windows OS are available.
