EDA / Interface A
Equipment Data Acquisition for process monitoring and optimisation
EDA and Interface A is a new interface standard in the semiconductor industry. Modern EES applications (Equipment Engineering Systems) such as APC (Advanced Process Control) and monitoring systems require large quantities of equipment and process data, which can be transmitted over EDA.
EDA is based on software technologies such as XML, SOAP and WebServices. The basis for EDA is the equipment construction described in SEMI Standard E120 (Common Equipment Model) and the SEMI E125 Equipment Self Description based on it. EDA represents a 2nd equipment interface in addition to the already existing SECS/GEM interface.
