Production Efficiency
High efficiency and productivity ensures yieldIndicators for machine availability and reliability benchmark only machines and equipment. To evaluate efficiency you also need to measure performance (production throughput) and quality rate (yield).
Additional efficiency indicators to understand your process are:
- Process performance
- Process speed loss
- Theoretical throughput
- Current throughput
- Yield
The total good parts produced as a ratio of the corresponding work time is the measure of work productivity.
The Production Efficiency module in the VLC host computer provides the values for OEE and labour productivity and can be adapted to the respective equipment.
Weak links in production can thus be revealed, optimization approaches found and the necessary investment analyzed for its cost-efficiency.
