Integration of equipment into production automation

integrationThe key to a high level of production automation

The integration of machines and equipment is the basis for fully automated production. The objective is to make machine data available plant-wide and to give production control systems (MES systems) controlling access to machines and equipment.
With our many years of experience both on the factory side and on the equipment side, we are able to provide you with custom-tailored solutions. We will be glad to support you and assist the manufacturers of your machines and equipment during the integration process.

Depending on the area of application, we use different available technologies for machine integration:

  • Field buses such as Profibus, CAN-Bus, LON-Bus, Industrial Ethernet, MPI-Bus, H1-Bus etc.
  • OEM-specific links for SIMATIC-S7, SIMATIC-S5, OMRON
  • OPC
  • DCOM, SOAP, CORBA, Message-Bus
  • Serial linking via RS232
  • Networking of the serial links with terminal servers
  • Database-oriented interfaces

This variety of standardized interfaces for vertical as well as horizontal integration is available in our VAC NT/32 automation platform. In addition to the use of standardized interfaces, we are also available with our expertise for developing customized interface solutions.
We have the appropriate solution for virtually any integration problem. Just ask us!

SECS/GEM – Equipment integration in the semiconductor industry

SECS/GEM represents a standardized interface between process equipment and factory-wide IT middleware for the semiconductor industry and electronics manufacturing. Our team has a wide experience of equipment integration and tested SECS/GEM-Driver. We assist you in the field of:
  • Preparation for equipment integration,
  • Management of your equipment suppliers (Automation Capabilities Management - ACM)
  • Implementation of Equipment Integration (EI).

Our VECC software solution provides you with a powerful Cell Controller Platform.
