Advanced Process Control (APC)

The path to innovative process optimization

The demands for quality and quality in modern and flexible production lines have grown enormously over the last years. The production of high-tech components in the areas of vacuum coating, automotive applications or chip manufacturing all require complex equipment which produces the product in multiple production steps and at multiple process stations.
At each process step the product becomes more value-intensive, so that quality measurements between the process steps become necessary. If these quality measurements are made in a timely manner, targeted intervention in the next process step (forward loop) or in the same or previous process step (backward loop) compensates the manufacturing tolerances for the following material and thus ensures the quality of the product and increases product yield.
 APC
In addition to the use of online-obtained measuring data and their processing in the forward- and backward loop described above, the rules for control models need to be found. This is the function of data mining solutions. Without these measures, products such as new-generation microprocessor or complicated coating layers in vacuum technology would not be possible today.

We develop software solutions that enable such process control or we apply your APC tools. Interested? We would be glad to assist you.
