User Conference, 14. June 2007, Dresden

With the motto - A Software Framework - From Production Control (MES) up to Process Optimization (APC) on June 14th the 4th User Conference took place in the RAMADA Hotel in Dresden, with about 80 participants. Subsequent to the conference the guests could go on a journey through the past and marvel at the old Dresden from 1756 in the "Panorama Gasometer". Subsequently the guests could enjoy the champagne reception by wonderful weather and have dinner on the outside terrace of "Schloss Eckberg". It should be pointed out here that, we want to thank all supporting lecturers: Ms. Meißner (JOWAT Klebstoffe GmbH), Dr. Möller (Centrotherm GmbH und Co. KG), Dr. Kubin (TU Dresden) and Dr. Kneppe (Tiefenbach GmbH). Also we want to thank all guests, who made this day to an interesting and exciting event.

We would like to thank all visitors for the numerous conversations at this year's 10th Industry Trade Fair for product engineering in Leipzig.

4. Innovationsforum "Automation for Semiconductor Industry", 25.- 26. January 2007, Dresden

At 25th and 26th of January 2006 the fourth forum of innovation with the topic automation in the semiconductor branch took place in Dresden. The four participating companies Ortner c.l.s GmbH, AIS Automation Dresden GmbH, HAP GmbH and SYSTEMA GmbH are members of the Silicon Saxony Association and also the initiators of the forum which is accepted at international level. It offers the companies the possibility of an active exchange of experiences and knowledge about the latest hardware- and software-solutions, and about existing potentials of the automation branch. One part of the forum was the awarding of the automation-award, which MURATA received for a material transport system.
